Hello! My name is Josh Wolff. I am a teacher from New York and I'm about to embark on the longest, most diverse journey of my life; a journey lasting three and a half months. I am very excited and just as nervous, both at the same time. I managed to finish all of my packing and preparing right up until the moment I have to leave. I did all of my laundry, paid my bills, cleaned my room, shopped for all of the necessary travel-sized toiletries, picked up new ATM cards from the bank (just in case) and said goodbye to my friends and family all in a week. It's Thursday morning, March 16th, and in a few short hours I will by flying to Los Angeles where I will meet up with the rest of the cast and crew of the Travel Channel's TV show "5 Takes". Together we will fly into Sydney, Australia for the first week of our 12 week, 11 city journey around the Pacific Rim. Though I will be traveling with the cast and crew of the TV show, my job is to document my experiences in each city and communicate them with you through short videos (called "video logs", now known as just "vlogs" which I think sounds funny) and my blog, which I will update often (about 4 times a week) so you will always know what is going on and where. A cool feature we have set up gives you the chance to vote for where you think I should go in each city I visit. I want to hear what you have to say! I will be exploring the following countries/cities: Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and either Thailand or Cambodia! All of these places sound amazing, don't they? Even though I've traveled to different parts of the world, I haven't been to any of these places so I'm thrilled to be able to experience them. Until next time, I will see you in Australia!
